My Favorite Morning Drink

I begin by drinking a glass of lemon water first thing in the morning, then about 30 minutes to an hour later I will have an 8oz glass of my favorite green drink.  I prepare this juice in advance I will refrigerate it and it will last me for about 4 days.  I do drink a second glass in the evening and I must say that after 30 plus years of consuming this mix , I can honestly say that it has been one of the healthiest drink for me.  If you ask me what's in it?  well I use green leafy vegetables like cilantro, parsley, spinach, romaine lettuce, watercress and kale and I mix it in the blender by using about 2 gallons of  spring or distilled water.  But lately I have been thinking of purchasing the "Bullet" processor because I heard that it really pulverizes the vegetables and  fruits so you get more of the fiber from each produce.  Stay tune I will let everyone know when I do purchase that faster than lightning processor!

Below are the steps on how I have been doing this drink for over 30 years know, It is the best alternative for those of us that only have a blender to work with.  Bon Appetite!

How To Retain Hyaluronic Acid In The Body As We Age

I remember that when I turned 30 I decided that I was going to make some changes in the way I eat in order to minimize the effect that aging has on our body as we age.  Most of us know that we are what we eat but the earlier we incorporate healthy eating habits by making better choices has to what we regularly put into our mouths the better off we should be by the time we get way up into the 50's year mark.   It should start by choosing the right foods and or supplements that will stave off osteoarthritis,  minimizes or eliminate joint pains and most important we should  learn which food and vitamins  helps to retain healthy fluid production in these joints that we so rely on daily to move us around.  Well thank God I am happy to say that know that I am just a year away from my 60th birthday I find that the choices I made over 30 years ago is really helping my body to feel in its best shape ever.

Yes I am one of those ninja turtle juice drinker and I call it ninja turtle juice because that is the name my husband Jokingly, called the Green Juice mixture that we both have been drinking for many years know, which I am happy to say that presently they are many folks both young and old that are know drinking all kind of green juice mixes.  But keep in mind that we should also choose supplements that  internally keep our joints lubricated, things like Omega 3 fish oil, Krill oil, evening primrose and my favorite been Hyaluronic acid with Collagen II which we take in capsule form.  All of these supplements has been a great blessing to both my husband and myself  along with eating more vegetables, of which  my favorite been sweet potato, swich chard and broccoli florets and we both also regularly eat more sea food like Salmon,  and also white meats like organic chicken and turkey.

Below you will find ways on how you can keep a decent amount of Hyaluronic acid in your joints as you age.  So please stay informed because knowledge is power and this is the only body God gave us to take care of here on this earth.

First of all you most know that Hyaluronic Acid is a long, unbranched chain of simple sugar molecules. The body uses it to provide connective tissue such as cartilage, and it's also used to repair the skin. Ultraviolet radiation from the sun can cause skin cells to reduce their production of hyaluronic acid. You can use specific foods and supplements to increase the amount of hyaluronic acid in your body.

Step 1
Eat foods high in hyaluronic acid, especially potatoes and other root vegetables such as carrots and sweet potatoes.  Also consume leafy green vegetables such as kale and spinach.  You can also find high concentrations of hyaluronic acid in Asian vegetables such as imoji, konyaku and satoimo.

Step 2
Eat vegetables raw. Hyaluronic acid is sensitive to heat and will be destroyed by cooking. You can eat carrots, kale and spinach leaves as part of a salad or by themselves as a snack.

Step 3
Drink plenty of water. Hyaluronic acid is more effective when it has an abundant amount of water with which to bind. You may increase the effectiveness of hyaluronic acid by drinking at least eight full glasses of water per day.

Step 4
Take oral supplements of hyaluronic acid. You can commonly find capsules of hyaluronic acid in grocery stores and health food stores. The Food and Drug Administration hasn't established a minimum daily requirement for hyaluronic acid, but a common recommended dosage is 200 milligrams twice a day.

Step 5
Use topical supplements of hyaluronic acid. These are available in creams and gels from health stores and spas. Topical forms of hyaluronic acid typically contain a 2.5 percent concentration of hyaluronic acid. Rub this preparation of hyaluronic acid onto rough parts of your skin to make them smoother and suppler.

My Family Calender

It has been about two years know since my husband came up with the idea of making a family calendar were we include the birthdays and wedding anniversaries of our closes friends and closes family members.  I then said to myself my husband is a genius!  because this way every family member will get a shout out from the other family members on his or her special day.  By the way guess who sends out the text reminders, moa of course, but I love doing it.  So all I have to do is look at our family birthday/wedding anniversary calendar each Month to see who’s special day it is in any giving Month then I will just text out a reminder to the rest of the family members or friends with the phone number of the birthday boy or girl so that they can either call them or text them a warm birthday wish.

So if anyone else in the blogosphere thinks that creating a family calendar that includes both the birthdays and wedding anniversaries of love ones and closes friends  a fun idea feel free leave me a comment sharing your thoughts.

Staying Strong In The Face Of Adversities

We all know that adversities are part of life, and it is how we face it is what determines our strength or weakness.  The best thing we can do is to realize that a present trial will soon become a thing of the past nothing last forever even though it seems that way, trust me when I say that  there is light at the end of the tunnel.  Just try to stay focus on the positive things in your life, you could start by counting your blessings on a daily basis, the fact that we got to see another day should be a great reason to be thankful and grateful to God for that reason alone.

Curing Abilities Of Guanabana

Did you know that the Guanabana Fruit has cancer curing abilities?  The Sour Sop or the fruit from the Guanabana tree is a miraculous natural cancer cell killer 10,000 times stronger than Chemo. The taste is not bad after all. It’s completely natural and definitely has no side effects.  Guanabana is a tree called Guanabana in Brazil , guanabana in Spanish and has the uninspiring name “Guanabana” in English. The fruit is very large and the subacid sweet white pulp is eaten out of hand or, more commonly, used to make fruit drinks, sherbets and such.  The principal interest in this plant is because of its strong anti-cancer effects. This plant is a proven cancer remedy for cancers of all types. Besides being a cancer remedy, Guanabana is a broad spectrum antimicrobial agent for both bacterial and fungal infections, is effective against internal parasites and worms, lowers high blood pressure and is used for depression, stress and nervous disorders.  Research shows that with extracts from this miraculous tree it now may be possible to:

What You Don't Know About your Food Can Harm You!

GM foods can have massive compositional changes

Genetically modified foods have genes inserted into their DNA. But genes are not Lego's; they don’t just snap into place. Gene insertion creates unpredicted, irreversible changes.  In one study, for example, a single inserted gene changed the behavior (protein expression) of as much as 5 percent of the cell’s natural genes. Not only is that huge in itself, but these changes multiply through complex interactions down the line. Hundreds of other compounds can increase, decrease, or appear for the first time.   In spite of the potential for dramatic changes in the composition of GM foods, only a small number of known nutrient levels are evaluated. But even if we could identify all the changed compounds, at this point we wouldn’t know which might be responsible for the antisocial nature of mice or humans. Likewise, we are only beginning to identify the medicinal compounds in food.

We now know, for example, that the pigment in blueberries may revive the brain’s neural communication system, and the antioxidant found in grape skins may fight cancer and reduce heart disease. But what about other valuable compounds we don’t know about that might change or disappear in GM varieties?
With the epidemic of obesity and diabetes and with the results in Appleton, parents and schools in the United States are waking up to the critical role that diet plays and making changes in school meals. But most don’t yet consider the risks from GM foods. Thousands of foreign schools, however, particularly in Europe, have explicitly banned GM foods.  They’ve decided not to let their kids be used as guinea pigs. It’s time we in the US protect our children from GMOs as well.
